Creating ‘Sparkle Splash’ (2024)

Hii besties! 

For my painting “Sparkle Splash" I started with a simple beige background. I painted a wavy formed splash with the colors pink, blue, and green. As I painted, I added a few white stars to brighten the scene and included pearls, rhinestones, and glitter for a touch of sparkle.

The journey of creating this painting was different from what I usually experience. I wasn’t feeling my best emotionally and had to push myself to begin. There were moments when the process felt like a chore rather than a joy. Despite this, I decided to see it through, hoping that engaging myself in creativity might help lift my spirits.

As I worked, I discovered that even though I struggled with motivation, the act of creating itself brought unexpected beauty. The finished painting turned out even better than I expected. 

Through "Sparkle Splash," I wanted to convey a lesson I’ve learned: creativity often requires a blend of discipline and a playful, childlike spirit. Even when motivation wanes, sticking with the process can lead to truly rewarding results.
